Super perfect Cell or Gohan SSJ2?

Actually Cell was being quite level headed when he got his power up. He came back, and told Gohan that their next fight was not going to go about as easy as it was for him last time and he only acted exceedingly confident once Gohan's power had been severely docked and it was certain that he was superior to Gohan in every way.

Gohan in the meanwhile was exceedingly overconfident, acted like he was going to take care of Cell no problem and ended up nearly dying a result.

In the end, Cell is the one who actually proved himself and his capabilities and it took Gohan's final burst at the end of the KHH to prove his superiority and that's arguable in and on itself.

Imagine if Cell didn't hit Gohan. Wats more acceptable. Being beaten at lower than half ki? Or being completely stomped at Full Power. It makes no sense for him to win with half his power and not win at 100%. The logic speaks for itself. Piccolo stated Gohan could tap into all of that power at will. Goham could've used that power at Full power on Cell he were to never get blasted.

Gohan didn't beat Cell at half power, it's made clear that Gohan defeated Cell at 100%, whether this was 100% natural ki or an addition of his hidden power. Goku states this himself, that if Gohan releases an all out KHH, he can win.

True, but 50% Gohan was still able to hold back Super Perfect Cell's attack. When he gained his own power back, he obliterated Cell. I think it is pretty clear evidence.

Evidence of either Cell toying around and missing his chance like a frozen waffle eater, or his amplification attribute was rather dull.

Well look at it this way. Goku said for Gohan to unleash a full power Kamehameha like Cell's, so we already know Cell was using full power in his blast. When Gohan got his 100% back, the power that was sent from Cell was no match for it.

Both really, we know Cell lost his attention once Vegeta got in his way and we also know that his amplification for the KHH was only as good as Goku's in the Saiyn Arc and that was around 2.3x. Though honestly for the last part its not like we saw Gohan popping out amazing amp etiher.

That's the problem you have and its something you shouldn't use. The fight is treated as something that is incredibly in Cell's favor. Not only do we have statements indicating Cell's superiority in terms of ki, but the mere fact that we see their reactions is telling. Cell shows no sign of struggling or strain on his part where as Gohan is clearly about to keel over at any moment. the fact that the visual representation of the two halves seeming together is a contradictive of this notion.

Those quotes clearly show that SPC was going all out during that KHH beam struggle. Gohan wasn't going all out until Goku instructed him to and until Vegeta distracted Cell, giving Gohan the chance to unleash his full power and obliterate Cell.

So yeah, SSJ2 Gohan > Super Perfect Cell.

Could Gohan's injuries and Cell's unique freshness have an effect on how they looked during the beam clash?

If Gohan was just covered in blood (which we would take from his damage he received earlier) perhaps.

Instead, Gohan's coverd in sweat with a big *** vein on his head.. His body isn't just damaged on the physical that Cell delivered from before, there's a massive amount of strain he's putting on his body as well.

The resident GT fan!

Gohan had a power advantage over Cell in my opinion
1)Gohan felt the same as well
2)nothing like that was evr mentioned in the manga
3)lol Gohan did beat Cell after all he had a power advantge but there levels are so close that cell rivals him a lot in a HTH fight Cell would won in my opinion due to he's superior skills and tecknqiues even though Gohan would have a power advanatge :)
